- 2 hot dog bread(6"long)
- 2 tsp Butter
- For beetroot patty
- 2 boiled potatoes mashed
- 1 boiled and grated
- 1 tbsp green chillies ginger paste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- to taste Salt
- As needed Oil for roasting
- Other ingredients
- 1/4 cup green chutney
- As needed Lettuce leaves
- 1 tomato slices
- 1 onion slices
- 3-4 cheese slices
- To serve
- as needed Tomato ketchup
- 2 tsp Peri peri potato chips
Steps to make Beetroot Sub Sandwich
- In mixing bowl add mashed potatoes, grated beetroot, green chillies ginger paste,salt and lemon juice. Mix well. Make equal portions rectangular shape patties as shown. Roast on both sides with oil and hot griddle.
- Slit hot dog bread as shown. Keep all ingredients required to make sub sandwich. Apply butter on inner side of both bread halves. Roast buttered sides. Apply green chutney on lower side of bread as shown.
- On it place lettuce leaves as shown. On it placed prepared beetroot patty as shown.(Press little).
- On it place tomato slices and onion slices as shown. On it placed cheese slices strips as shown.
- Cover with other half (upper side) of hot dog bread slice..as shown. Grill on griddle or in oven. Similarly prepare another.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup and peri peri potato chips.
